Sarah Lucille Robinson

Sarah Lucille Head Robinson, 85, of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm EDT Monday, September 28, 2015 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Mrs. Robinson was born July 16, 1930 in Greenville, AL to the late Thomas Benjamin Head and Mary Alline Stephenson Head.  She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills with 35 plus years of service and a Baptist by faith.  She was a proud member of CB Radio Club; she had a gifted green thumb and enjoyed working in flower garden, and enjoyed quilting and crocheting.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bernard Robinson, a grandson, Tommy Robinson, and two great granddaughters, Zoë Nichole Robinson and Karely Robinson.

She is survived by three sons, William Richard Robinson and wife Cindy of Jacksonville, AL, Thomas Marion Robinson and wife Ann of San Diego, CA, and John David Robinson and wife Kathryn of Lake Harding, AL; one step-daughter, Gloria Etheridge and husband Paul of Phenix City, AL, three sisters, Peggy Johnson and husband K D of Phenix City, AL, Georgia Jordan of Phenix City, AL, and Zera Livingston of Port Saint Lucie, FL, two brothers, Robert “Buddy” Head of Leesburg, AL and Donnie O’Neal Head and wife Rhonda of Phenix City, AL; (8) grandchildren, Cindy Tahl (Tony), Jeanette Bolt (John), Byron Robinson, Nick Robinson (Mandy), William Theodore Robinson, John Christopher Robinson, Debbie Wise (Bob), and Becky Glisson (4) great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
