Sarah Zelma Ginn, 93, of Ellerslie, Ga. passed away October 10, 2015 in the comfort of her home. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, 2015 beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home; 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Pastor Mickey Adams will be officiating; Michele Mastrean will deliver the eulogy. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST. at the funeral home. Serving as Pallbearers will be, David Daniels, Johnny Harp, Lem Miller III, Larry Culpepper, Ronnie Sterling, Steven Culpepper, Gary McDowell, and Rob Batchelor.
Sarah Zelma Ginn was born July, 4, 1922 in Chattahoochee, GA, daughter of the late William Floyd Culpepper and Mattie Kemp Culpepper. Sarah was a homemaker, she loved and cared for her family with all of her heart. She was a member of Ellerslie Methodist Church. Sarah loved cooking and sharing meals with her family and friends. In her spare time Sarah cared for her vegetable and flower gardens. Sarah Ginn will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and caring friend.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her devoted husband Cecil Norman Ginn; four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include, son, Phillip Ginn, of Ellerslie, GA; sisters, Peggy Culpepper of, Columbus, GA; Gloria Mastrean (Dan) of Midland, GA, Patsy Miller, of Columbus, GA, Jane Sterling (Bill) of Cataula, GA; grandchildren, Kevin Scott Ginn, of Columbus, GA, and Shana –Lee Ginn, of Ellerslie, GA; great grandchildren, Cameron Ginn, Aden Ginn, Ashley Ginn, London Ginn, Skyler Ginn, and Damien Ginn. Sarah also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and caring friends.
