Sean Francis Smith

Sean Francis Smith, 36, of Phenix City, AL died Tuesday, March 31, 2020 surrounded by his family while at his residence.

A private service will be recorded and shared in the near future according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Sean was born November 23, 1983 son of Diane Malcom Reeder and the late Frank Smith. He proudly served in the U. S. Air Force working in Aerial Electronics. He was always looking out for others and sharing his positive outlook, despite his illness. Sean’s time with us was far too short, however his impact on our lives will never be forgotten.

Sean was married November 17th, 2007, to Heather Smith. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Teresa Bliss.

Survivors other than his wife Heather Smith & mother, Diane Reeder (Gene) include; siblings, Jeff Smith (Kristin), Bryan Reeder (Angie), Chris Reeder (Terri), Adam Reeder (Lyndi), Bryan Smith (Sarah) and Bethany Smith; grandparents, Walt and Sue Malcom and Alice and Charlie Reeder; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends also survive. Sean befriended and mentored a young man, Jaxson Hurst, after Jaxson lost his dad to cancer.

The family is encouraging family and friends to reach out to them directly.
