Sfc (Ret.) Charles Stuart Crapps

Charles Stuart Crapps, 67, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home on Monday, January 29, 2018 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST. The interment will conclude the service at Ft. Mitchell Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home from  6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST.  

Charles Stuart Crapps was born February 12, 1950 in Ft. Benning, GA to the parents of Charles Henry Crapps Jr. and Lois Crapps Wade. He was member of Liberty Baptist Church in Columbus, GA. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran.  He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family.  He will forever be missed.

Other than his parents, Charles is predeceased by his sister Donna Crapps Skinner.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Sarah Crapps; his two sons, Chris Crapps (Kandi) of Columbus, GA and Nic Crapps (Kei) of Portland, Maine; two sisters, Janet Toole (Mack) of Columbus GA and Melanie Veres of Atlanta, GA; and his three grandchildren, Kaycee, Chase and Lenix Crapps.
