Sfc (Ret.) Ronald Wayne Sample

SFC (Ret.) Ronald Wayne Sample, 62, of Cusseta, GA passed away Tuesday, March 01, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.  A memorial service will be held at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, 8024 Hwy 520, Parrot, GA on Saturday, March 19, 2016 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST with the Reverend Hall W. Grimmett officiating.  Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA is in charge of the arrangements. 

Ronald was born November 19, 1953 in Osaka, Japan to the parents of the late Donald Reed Sample and Kiyoko Hasegawa Sample.  He was a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he devotedly served his country for twenty-two (22) years and was awarded many medals and awards.  He was an 82nd Airborne Infantry Rifleman and Jump Master.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jolanta Wach Sample; his mother, Kiyoko Sample of Beverly, MA; three sisters:  Corlis Sample (James Bennett) of Beverly MA, Sonia Sample Marcell (Chal Marcell) of El Paso, TX, and Gina Sample (Andrew Friedl) of Delmar, CA; a half sister, Lorita Seaton of Jackson, MS; and one brother, Stanley Sample of Richardson, TX; and a nephew, Daniel Sample.
