Ruble H. Moore, Sr., 86, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
Mr. Moore was born December 21, 1932 in Bolivar, TN, son of the late Ida and Simon Moore. Ruble served our country as a Sergeant Major in the United States Army and always showed his dedication in “doing the right thing”. He proudly served during the Korean War and Vietnam War and retired with 27 years of service. SGM Moore received numerous awards, badges, and medals including Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army never left him.
Ruble was a caring man that loved his wife and children. He worked hard to put his children through college and was always there for his family. He enjoyed working on cars. He enjoyed walking his dogs in the woods and enjoying nature. Ruble also loved shooting pool and horseshoes. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie S. Moore.
He is survived by two sons, James Moore and Ruble H. Moore, Jr. He will also leave behind two grandchildren Matthew Moore and Jason Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm EST on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Chaplain Michael Spalla officiating. Interment with full Military Honors will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Monday at the funeral home from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm EST.
