Sharon Ann Jones

Sharon Ann Garner Jones, 68, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Barry Danner and Rev. Eric Hood officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born July 28, 1950 in Columbus, GA to Mavel Richardson Garner and the late Wilburn Alexander Garner.  She had worked for the Russel County for 21 plus years helping Russell County residents with their title and tag registration.  She enjoyed shopping, baking, and working word puzzles.  She was a giver, always trying to help someone in need, but her greatest joy was Christmas time and spending time with all her family.  She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Phenix City.

She is survived by her mother, Mavel Richardson Garner, her loving and devoted husband of almost 39 years, Dennis Malcolm Jones, one daughter, Amy Martin and husband James, son, Joel Jones, two sisters, Carol Bolding and husband Terry, and Karen Garner, and one precious granddaughter, Katie Martin along with several nieces, and nephews.
