Sharon K. Fair, 73, of Smiths Station, AL passed away early Sunday morning, January 19, 2020 at Piedmont Northside Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Jack Wallace and Chaplain Dean Knipe officiating. A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.
Sharon was born March 2, 1946 in Minnesota, daughter of the late Junior and Margaret Culverson Mathis. She was employed with Piggly Wiggly in Phenix City with many years of loyal and dedicated service. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, watching TV, and was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Her greatest joy and love was her family and sharing special memories with all her grandchildren. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Smiths Station. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Eddie Kendal Fair.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Fair and Kimberly Fair, one son, Keith Fair and wife Tracy, brother, Wayne Morrow and wife Trish, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sherry Wallace and Rev. Jack Wallace, two grandchildren, Nicole Hammond (Clint), and Heather Fair, and (6) great grandchildren, Aaron Jeffrey, Joshua Davis, Dylan Hammond, Taylor Moist, Tori Moist, and Tanner Moist, a host of extended family, and numerous friends.
