Sharon K. Martz

Sharon K. Harting Martz, 73, of Seale, AL passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm EST Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.  Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Martz was born March 16, 1943 in Walla Walla, WA to the late Albert Harting and Wanda Harting Culbertson Bushong.  She was retired from the DOD at Fort Benning where she served as a teacher for Fort Benning Schools.  She enjoyed reading, scrap booking and traveling the world.  She was dearly loved by her family and enjoyed sharing quality time.  She was a lady of grace and great character.

She is survived by her loving husband Maj. (Retired) Kenneth “Ken” Martz of Seale, AL, two, daughters, Kimberly Martz, and Kenda Montgomery, one precious grandchild, Leala Montgomery; numerous other family members, and many caring friends.  Online condolences may be shared at www.vancememorialchapel.net
