Sheila Delores Bartkoske passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in the the comfort of her home in Pittsview. She was born on May 26, 1948, in Lawton, Oklahoma, she was the beloved daughter of the late Dalton K. Roach and Reva U. McNeil Roach.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Antony “Hoppy” Bartkoske; her children, Christla Smith, and Michael Hoensch; her beloved grandchildren, Keisha, and Briana Ortiz; and her precious great-grandchildren, Kamani, Kaelani Ortiz, and Malachi Ortiz.
Sheila was a woman of immense love and compassion. She embraced her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend with grace and tenderness. Although she navigated life with personal challenges and occasional lapses in thoughtfulness, Sheila had the remarkable ability to recognize her mistakes and demonstrate genuine remorse as she strived for personal growth.
Sheila found solace in the simple pleasures of life. Gardening, painting, and lending a helping hand in household repairs brought her immense joy. Time spent with her beloved grandchildren, Keisha, and Briana, whether embarking on road trips or working together in the workshop, held a special place in her heart.
In many ways, Sheila's uniqueness set her apart from the crowd, but it is important to remember that each of us carries our own flaws and imperfections. As we reflect on the life she lived, let us remember the words she held onto dearly - "Accept what is. Let go of what was and have faith in what will be."
In times of hardship, Sheila drew strength from her faith and sought guidance from Matthew 6:14-15 which reminds us of the power of forgiveness. She understood the importance of releasing resentment and bitterness from our hearts, allowing God's healing touch to pave the way towards forgiveness.
As we bid farewell to Sheila Delores Bartkoske, let us carry her memory within our hearts forevermore.
Private Memorial services are to be held by her loving family. Mrs. Sheila Bartkoske will be laid to rest in a very special place at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
