Sheila Gail Bolling Salter, 61, of Phenix City, AL died at Columbus Piedmont Midtown, Columbus, GA on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
A Private Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Salter was born February 17, 1963, in Phenix City, AL daughter of the late Ed (Edsel)Bolling, and Vera Myrick. She was a longtime Certified Medical Assistant with The Hughston Clinic, a job she absolutely loved. Sheila retired early after her marriage to her husband Chris. As much as she missed her patients (some became good friends) and coworkers, she loved retirement life. The beach was always her happy place. She loved taking a day trip to just lay out on the beach.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many who was taken far too soon.
Mrs. Salter was preceded in death by her son Jarred Jacobs; her parents, Edsel (Ed) Bolling, and Vera Myrick; stepdad, Dennis Myrick; niece Crystal Bailey; nephew Eddie Woodall.
Survivors include her husband Chris Salter, Phenix City, AL; two sons, Cebo James (Amber) and Coley Jacobs (Christin); a sister, Teresa Woodall; niece Valarie Bolling; a brother Ed (Brenda)Bolling Jr. four grandchildren, Tabitha James, Breanna James, Hannah Jacobs and Emma Jacobs; several other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org (http://www.cancer.org/) for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
