Sherry F. Foxworth

Sherry F. Foxworth, 71, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, October 22, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held 3:00 pm EST on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Pastor Gerald Corbin officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EST, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Sherry was born February 28, 1947 in Phenix City, AL to the late Lester Gates and Sara McCarth Gates. She loved to cook and actually supervised several school cafeterias. She was a member of Bush Road Emanuel Holiness Church in Smiths Station.  Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 ½ years, LaRay “Ray” Foxworth, Sr.; daughter, Sara Richardson; brother, Donnie Gates; sister, Margaret Starnes; granddaughter, Lindsay Foxworth, and an infant grandson.

She is survived by her children, Rachael Tredeaux and husband Pierre, LaRay “Little Ray” Foxworth, Jr. and wife Lisa, son-in-law, James Richardson; three grandchildren, Jonathon Foxworth, Kayle Richardson, and Grace Richardson, and one precious great granddaughter, Taytum Foxworth, and numerous other loving family members, church family, and many caring friends. Also a special thank you to Kindred Hospice for their care and support.
