Shirley Scarbrough Brammer, 76, of Columbus, GA passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
A Graveside service will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 beginning at 10:00 AM EST, with Rev. Tommy Bradford officiating, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brammer was born February 2, 1940 in Troy, AL, daughter of the late Woodrow Scarbrough and Margaret Bundrick Scarbrough. She was a military spouse and loving mother. Additionally, Mrs. Brammer retired from Wal-Mart after 17 years of service.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Carl Brammer and a sister, Jean Faulkner.
Survivors include three daughters, Lynn Brammer of Columbus, GA, Pam Duboise and husband Ted of Midland, GA and Lori Brammer of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Joyce Parish of Columbus, GA, Peggy Godwin and husband Gene of Ellerslie, GA and Edna Quinley and husband Cecil of Dahlonega, GA; four, grandchildren, Angela Morgan Blount, Tiffany Ann Hellman, Sierra Files and Erica Bishop; two great-grandchildren, Joseph and Mason Sommerfield; other extended family and caring friends.
