Shirley Ann Griggs

Shirley Ann Griggs, 82, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am EST Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Tommy Ray officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Griggs was born July 1, 1935, in Phenix City, AL to the late Thomas Ray and Agnes Pitts Ray. She was a lifelong resident of Phenix City and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Homer E. Griggs.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Lomax and husband Randy, and her son, Randall Griggs; siblings, Joyce Valdez, Lisa Norton, and husband Tony, and Tommy Ray and wife Charlotte; grandchildren, Lauren Lomax Brown and husband Coleman, Matthew Griggs, and Zachary Griggs; numerous other extended family members and many caring friends.
