Shirley Jo Bolt

Shirley Jo Lloyd Bolt, 61, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EST Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel (Vance-Brooks Funeral Home) in Phenix City with Rev. Rodney Mitchell officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Shirley was born December 4, 1956 in Landstuhl, Germany and was the daughter of the late James Harold Lloyd and Rhinie Virginia Popwell Lloyd.  She was a graduate of Smiths Station High School Class of 1975.  She attended Auburn University and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Troy.  Shirley was the owner/operator of Shirley’s Accounting in Ladonia where she had opportunity to serve many clients and making new friends for almost 30 years.  She was passionate about being instrumental in the surrounding community and helping people with different projects and needs.  Shirley was certified enrolled agent representing the IRS.  She was a member of the NATV, and a former member the local VFW.  She enjoyed traveling, and spending quality time with all her family, and was a lady of great integrity.  She was a member Auburn Heights Baptist Church in Phenix City.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Bolt, one daughter, Tabatha Skipper, and one son, Matthew Bolt.

She is survived by her friend and companion, John Henderson, children, Shirley “Marie” Bolt Griffin and husband Taylor, Glynn bolt and wife Kay, Shane Bolt and wife Michelle, David Bolt, Vernon Bolt and wife Carla, Gregg Bolt and wife Leann, and Jamie Bolt and wife Linda, one brother, Joseph “Curtis” Lloyd and wife Angie, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, and much extended family, and many caring friends.
