Shirley Nell Gaylord

Shirley Nell Stewart Gaylord, 79, of Bremen, GA passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm EST Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Boyd Cochran officiating.  A private interment will take place on Monday at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Saturday at the funeral home.  Family visitation is scheduled on Saturday beginning at 2:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gaylord was born December 6, 1937 in Brundidge, AL to the late Albert Truet Stewart and Virginia McClendon Dodgen.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whom were deeply devoted to her family.  She enjoyed cooking, the outdoors, and spending quality time with all her family.  She was a Baptist by faith.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley M. Gaylord, daughter, Cynthia Dudley, son, Joe Dudley, and two brothers, Melvin Stewart, and Bobby Ray Stewart.

She is survived by two daughters, Regina Sue Holloway, and Melissa Lynn Holloway, one son Dan Dudley and wife Cindy, 21 grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous other loving family members and many friends.
