Skyla Roshel Ottinger

Skyla Roshel Ottinger, 13, of Smiths Station, AL went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, September 21, 2015 while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 3:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Justin Belew officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.

Skyla was born July 25, 2002 in Opelika, AL to Justin Wayne Ottinger and Lindsey Michelle Tillery.  She was a student at Smiths Station Junior High and a member of the Fort Church in Phenix City.  She enjoyed and had a passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football “Roll Tide”, and enjoyed listening to country music, a big Justin Beaver fan, and enjoyed cherishing life and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Lindsey Michelle Tillery, father, Justin Wayne Ottinger, grandparents, Vicki Boyette Morimoto and Jim Morimoto, Andy and Sandra Tillery, Nancy Tweedy, and Jeff Ottinger, great grandparents, Sharon Boyette, Preston Tillery, and Brenda and Warren Morimoto.

Siblings, Dominick Ottinger, Ethan Ottinger, Stephan Elliott, Naudia Elliott, and Patrick Carter; special uncles, Dallas Boyette, Jr. and Austin Ottinger, numerous other aunts and uncles, and other loving family members.

A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, medical staff, and associates that gave their professional care and love to Skyla during her continuous medical challenges.
