Stella Tovey

Stella Tovey, 70, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Thursday, December 15, 2016 beginning at 12:00 Noon EST with Reverend Wesley “Lee” Halvorson, Jr. officiating.  The interment will conclude the service at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Cusseta, GA.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST.  

Mrs. Tovey was born December 18, 1945 in Cusseta, GA to the late Nollie Wright and Claudia Moore Wright.  She was a member of the Cusseta United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and had a love of gardening.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Tovey is predeceased by her first husband, Wesley Halvorson, Sr.; her second husband, Harold Tovey; three sisters:  Dorothy Roberts, Marjorie Fontenot and Edoline Huffenburger; one brother, Eugene Wright; and a son-in-law, David Williamson.

Survivors include daughters:  Kathy Exline (Shane) of Cusseta, GA and Kim Williamson of Cusseta, GA; one son, Wesley Halvorson, Jr. (Bliss) of Columbus, GA; four grandchildren:  Kane Exline, Laci Williamson, Madison Halvorson, and Callie Halvorson; and two great grandchildren:  Antonio and Antasia Williamson.
