Stephanie Elaine Carmoega

March 23, 1975 — March 5, 2025

Fort Mitchell

It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Stephanie Carmoega, on March 5, 2025. Though her time with us was far too short — her love, kindness, and warmth will remain with us forever.

Stephanie was a gentle and caring soul, always putting others before herself. Her smile lit up every room, and her compassion knew no bounds. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sibling, and a friend who could always be counted on. Above all, she loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. Stephanie looked forward to adventures outdoors with her family and friends but mostly looked forward to the days she had with her sons and grandson, her boys who she loved so much.

While we may never fully understand the pain she carried, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace. We will remember her for the light she brought into our lives, the love she gave so freely, and the countless beautiful moments we shared.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her Father, Lawrence Bagley and her Stepfather, Jerry Carver. She is survived by her Husband, Michael Carmoega of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, Sons Mikey (Cheyenne) Carmoega and Anthony Carmoega of Columbus, Georgia, Grandson Oliver Carmoega “Munchie”, Mother Theresa Carver of Phenix City, Alabama, Stepmother Betty Bagley of Sharpsburg, Georgia, Brother Larry (Yvonne) Bagley of Columbus, Georgia and Sister Cindy (Rickey) Burkett of Phenix City, Alabama, Nephews Alec and Aidan Carmoega, Nieces Madison Carmoega, Alyssa McCraine, and Zoey Carmoega, best friends Jawan and Bryan Taylor, and many others who loved her dearly. Though we grieve this unimaginable loss, we will honor her memory by sharing the same love and kindness she showed us every day.

A memorial will be held on March 15, 2025, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, Alabama with Visitation starting at 2:00 and Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. (EST).
