Stephen Larry Watts

Stephen Larry Watts, 75, of Columbus, GA passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown. Memorial services will be announced at a later time, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Columbus.             

 Stephen was born on June 2, 1948 in Barberton, OH to the late Joseph Fredrick Watts and Mary Kathryn McCroskey Watts. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, during which time he fought in the Vietnam War. After his years in the military, he began his second career as a self-employed electrical technician. Stephen was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed singing, dancing and riding motorcycles. Stephen was deeply loved by his family and friends. His presence will be missed, but his memory will live forever in their hearts.

 Other than his parents, Stephen is preceded in death by his sister Tena Gift.

 Survivors include son Stephen Alexander Watts of Wetumpka, AL, sisters Beverly Vidergar of Barberton, OH and Katrina Rose McCabe (David) of Morehead City, NC, and friend Okhui Walden.
