Steve Mobley

Steve Mobley, 58, of Salem, AL died Friday, January 24, 2020, at Piedmont Medical Center, Columbus, GA surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM (EST) on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Charles Payton officiating. Active pallbearers are Eric and Shane Hinson, Sean and Josh Allen, Shelley and Ty Cranford. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM (EST) in Hart Cemetery, Cochran, GA. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (EST) at the funeral home.

Steve was born March 05, 1961 in Macon, GA son of Ruby Cranford Mobley and the late Wendell Mobley. He worked for Watson Heat and Air as a Service Tech for many years. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool in his spare time. We will miss his presence, mischief and humor. Thank you for the good times and fond memories.

In addition to his dad, Wendell Mobley, Steve was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Lucille Mobley, maternal grandparents, John and Claudie Cranford; two brothers, David and Hugh Mobley and one sister, Diane Mobley.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby Cranford Mobley, Salem, AL; longtime companion, Joan Hardy, Salem, AL; two sisters, Elaine Hinson, Cochran, GA and Rena Allen (Mark) Opelika, AL; one niece, Hope (Tim) and six nephews, Heath , Eric (Jessica), Shane (Candice), Sean (Samantha), Josh (DiaHanna) and David (Jessica); several great nieces, nephews and close friends also survive.
