Sue Martin Moorefield

Sue Martin Moorefield, of Columbus, GA, passed away August 3, 2015 in the comfort of her home. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday August 8, 2015 in the chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. Beginning at 3:00 P.M. EST. Minister Alan Martin will be officiating. Interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST at the funeral home.
Sue Martin Moorefield was born July 2, 1941 in Columbus, GA. daughter of the late Robert Hazel Martin and Doris Mae Martin. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Coffey.
Sue was employed by Mike and Teresa Baker for over 20 years as a caregiver for their children Casey and Taylor;  she truly loved and cared for them as if they were her own family.
Sue found joy in caring for her beloved cats. She often opened her heart and home to homeless cats giving them a loving home and tender care.
Sue is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Moorefield of Columbus, GA, Terrie Klemm and husband Robert of Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Faye Dacey of Columbus, GA, Mable Wilson and husband Carl of Phenix City, AL; brother Alan Martin and wife Alison of Burlington, N.C, grandchildren, Jaxson and Kade Klemm; nieces,Olivia, Savannah, Taylor, and Reagan.
Sue was affectionate, warm and loving to all.  Sue especially held these feelings most to the family she held so dear.  She will be remembered forever by all as a beloved mother, caring granna and loyal friend.
