Susan Lynette Sweat Price, 70, of Phenix City, AL died at her residence on Friday, January 22, 2021 surrounded by her family,
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM (EST) on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Elder Charles Sweat officiating. The services will be live streamed via www.vancebrooksfuneralhome.net. Go to Ms. Susan’s obit page and click on the RED watch link and the service will begin automatically at 10:55 AM (EST). A private interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Price was born September 13, 1950 in Starke, FL daughter of the late Elbridge Letho Sweat and Dorothy Ellen Hodges Sweat. She was a homemaker extraordinaire. Susan had a heart of gold. She was always there to support friends and family, and she never asked for anything in return. Her husband and children always came first and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Susan was a trusted friend to many and she put her faith in God always. She lit up any room she walked into with her bright smile and sweet ways. She enjoyed cooking and she often shared the delicious results with her family and anyone else who came by the house. Ms. Susan enjoyed traveling and dreamed of traveling the entire world with her family.
Susan never told anyone “goodbye”, but she always said, “See you later” or “Have a good day”. From your family, “We will see you later”, but we will miss you.
From your family and friends, we send our love to you in heaven and you will be forever in our hearts. We will miss you greatly.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Price, Phenix City, AL; two children, Angel Lynnette Field (Dave), Denver, CO and Lance Price (Amber) Apopka, FL; four siblings, Charles Sweat, Buddy Sweat, Emma Greene and Mary Strickland; three beloved grandsons, Luke Field, Leo and Eli Price; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
