Talmage Segers Baggett, 86, of Columbus, GA passed away quietly on the morning of Friday, September 30, 2016 in Gentiva Hospice at Savannah Grands in Columbus, GA. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he touched throughout his memorable life. A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Tuesday, October 04, 2016 beginning at 1:00 P.M. EST with Pastor Ronnie Chaney officiating. The interment will conclude the service at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, October 03, 2016 at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST.
He was born Sept 22, 1930 in Altha, Fl. He married Sylvia Bigbie on Oct. 10, 1951. Talmage proudly served in the United States Army then later transferred to the United States Airforce from which he retired. He was Korean War veteran and received two Purple Hearts. He was a loving husband to his wife Sylvia Baggett of almost 65 years. They both attended Church at Riverview Assembly of God and later White Rock Assembly of God. He made many friends and won many to Christ.
He is a Father of four children: Michael Baggett (deceased), Anthony Baggett of Cusseta Ga, Carl Baggett of Jacksonville FL, and Deborah Chalkley of Fredericksburg Va. He also leaves ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
