Tammy Jean Shute

Tammy Jean Shute, 54, of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 14, 2014, beginning at 12:00 P.M. EST, in the chapel of Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd, Columbus GA. Brother CY Dietrich will be officiating. Interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 until 12:00 at the funeral home. Tammy Jean Shute was born April 7, 1959, daughter of Lelon B. Hill and Betty Jo Hill, in Columbus, GA. Tammy was a Methodist by faith. Tammy was very social; she loved to fellowship with friends from church. She enjoyed conversation and being in the company of friends and family. Tammy loved visiting the beach and soaking up the suns glorious rays. Tammy is preceded in death by her father, Lelon and a brother Robert Wesley Hill. Survivors include her devoted husband of 17 years, Perry J. Shute; mother, Betty Jo Bailey; sisters, Sheila Bloodworth, (John) of Phenix City, AL, Jo Gilbreath (Stephen) of Tallahassee, FL; mother in law Maria Shute; several nieces and nephews; Tammy also leaves behind her loving Dog Gracie Mae, who was always by her side.
