Teresa Lillian Wilson Freeman-Temples, 59, passed away at her residence on June 22, 2024. The services to honor and celebrate Teresa's life will be held on Thursday June 27, 2024, at New Vision Christian Ministries in Waverly Hall. The visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Glenn Presley presiding.
She was born in Columbus, Georgia, on May 12, 1965, to loving parents Albert Fleming Wilson and Levern Nora Stubbs Wilson. Throughout her career, Teresa worked for many years as the insurance clerk in the office of Dr. C. Gary Taylor, D.C.,P.C. of Columbus, Georgia and then as a Claims Processor for Aflac until her well-deserved retirement.
Teresa was known for her sweet and loving nature - she deeply cared for people and made sure everyone around her felt valued. Her kindness touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her. She had a passion for singing and found great fulfillment in ministering at the nursing home in Buena Vista alongside her husband. In her free time, Teresa found joy in simple pleasures like fishing and watching deer play in the yard. She also enjoyed playing with her beloved cats and birds, as well as attending services at New Vision Christian Ministries.
Among Teresa's proudest accomplishments were being a wonderful mother, loving her family unconditionally, and serving the Lord by helping those in need. Her devotion to spreading love and faith inspired those around her and brought comfort to many hearts. She found joy in her many ministries over the years and in bringing people to the Lord.
In addition to her parents, Teresa is reunited in Heaven with her sister Judy Ann Wilson-Hamner.
Teresa is survived by her devoted husband of 10 years, Jerry Temples; cherished daughter Rebekah Lynn Freeman of Cusseta, Georgia; sisters Brenda Nickerson (Robert Gott) of Cusseta, Georgia, Janice Hill of Smiths Station, Alabama, and Barbara Taylor of Columbus, Georgia.
Teresa Freeman-Temples will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing she left behind a legacy of love and exhibited what it means to be a good and faithful servant.
