Teresa Gail Walker

Mrs. Teresa Gail Moore Walker, 68, of Preston, GA passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at Phoebe Sumter Hospice in Americus, GA. 

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm (EST) Friday, October 18, 2024 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Douglas Mims officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Walker was born November 1, 1955 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Omar J. Moore and Edna Mae Keller Moore. She worked the majority of her career training horses. Mrs. Walker enjoyed anything to do with animals but had a special place in her heart for horses. Her hobbies included writing, art, including drawing and whittling, as well as, anything outdoors. Above all, Mrs. Walker loved her family and had a strong faith in God.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by identical twin granddaughters, Marissa Denise Wright and Alyssa Laura Wright.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steve Walker; daughters, Melisa Wright, Jatoma Hudson (Eddie); a step-daughter, Memory Wells (John); a sister, Dot Mims (Don); grandchildren, Matthew Arnold, Ethan Hudson, Kalan Hudson, Phebe Mae Hudson, Mia Wells, Tripp Wells and Taylor Wells; several other extended family and friends.
