Mrs. Theopal Moore Bussey, 96, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Tuesday morning, February 12, 2019 in the comfort of her home.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 12:00 noon EST at the Phenix City Church of Christ with Preacher Tony Clay officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service. A private interment will take place at Parkhill Cemetery at nearer future date where she will be laid to rest beside her husband of 60 years, Otis Clifton Bussey.
Mrs. Bussey was born June 8, 1922 in Opp, AL to the late Billy John Moore and Lola Long Moore. She had worked as a greeter with TIC Federal Credit Union. She enjoyed gardening, reading, singing, watching TV game shows, and spending quiet time listening to her wind chimes while sitting on her back porch. She was a member of Phenix City Church of Christ in Phenix City. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Moore, Rayford Moore, and Thomas Moore.
She is survived by her three children, Lora Bussey Smith of Phenix City, AL, Billy Bussey of Phenix City, AL, and Terry Bussey of Smiths Station, AL; (6) grandchildren, Billy Clinton Bussey, Jr., Lauren Ashleigh Whitener, Kristen Smith, Dillon Bussey, Adam Bussey, and Savannah Bussey, (7), great grandchildren, Ben, Anna, Haden, Keiland, Travis, Jensen, and Kherington, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
