Thomas Keith Rushing

Thomas Keith Rushing, 70, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in the comfort of his home.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm EDT Friday, May 27, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor John Heeger officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.

Thomas was born June 28, 1945 in Laurel, MS to the late Tom Watson Rushing and Reba Christine Moody Rushing.  He was retired from Tom’s Foods in Columbus, GA and a member of The Life Church in Phenix City.  He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and enjoyed Friday night football games with whomever the Central High School Red Devils were playing. Thomas loved different spicy foods and eating pudding.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Belinda Thompson Rushing, sisters, Barbara Ann Rushing Vargo, and Linda Rushing, father-in-law, Conrad Thompson, Sr., sisters and brothers in law, Jeanie Thompson, Connie and Kenny Woodham, Tammy and Ken Ziss, Conrad Thompson, Jr., and Tommy and Lisa Thompson; nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, Terra Thompson, Aaron Stroud, Sandra Howard, Adam Hatcher, Kristi Hatcher, Mason Hatcher, Maddie Hatcher, Juliana Howard, Mike and Rhonda Vargo, Kim and Charles Klementovich, Jessica and Justin Stewart, Stephanie and Rick Bowers, and a host of other loving family members, and many caring friends.
