Mr. Thomas C. Robertson

Mr. Thomas C. Robertson, 85, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA, with his daughters by his side.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Friday, February 12, 2021 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Brad McDaniel officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 to 12:00 noon, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Robertson was born October 17, 1935 in Cragford, AL, son of the late Thomas G. Robertson and Bernadeen Bell Kitchens Robertson.  After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Robertson retired from the Civil Service at Ft. Benning with over 30 years of service.  He was known to have a green thumb and enjoyed growing fruits, vegetables and day lilies.  Mr. Robertson also enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was a long time member of Ladonia Baptist Church.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Jimmie Sue Robertson.

He is survived by two daughters, Kara Robertson Ogletree and husband Rusty of Phenix City, AL and Kimberly Robertson Harris and husband Danny of Phenix City, AL; a sister, Vivian Caldwell and husband Kermit of Cragford, AL; grandchildren, Russ Ogletree and wife Taylor, Parker Harris and Tucker Harris; great-grandchildren, Logan and Colton; several nieces, nephews, including a nephew, Richard Caldwell, with whom he had a special bond; other extended family and friends.
