Thomas "Tj" Scott Sawyer

Thomas “TJ” Scott Sawyer, 29, of Salem, AL died on Friday May 15, 2020.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Union Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Smiths Station, Alabama with Rev. Ricky Ward officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. (Please understand we are still practicing social distancing and the number of guests in the building may be limited.)

TJ was born June 05, 1990 son of Nathan Sawyer and the late Terri Renee Estes Baughman. He was a handyman by trade. TJ’s time with us was to short, but he is now at peace. We will have an empty space in our lives where he was, but his memories will fill our hearts.

TJ was preceded in death by his mother, Terri Renee Baughman, paternal granddaddy, Robert Howard Sawyer.

Survivors include his dad, Nathan Sawyer, Salem, AL; son, who was his world, Jayden Scott Sawyer, Smiths Station, AL; two sisters, Cassidy Morrison-Sawyer and Jessica Baughman; maternal grandmother, Linda Sawyer; uncles, aunts and other family members also survive.
