Thomas "Tom" "Twin" Lloyd Smith

Thomas “Tom” Lloyd Smith, 52, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in the comfort of his home.

Tom was born March 13, 1964 in Fort Benning, GA to Aubrey E. Smith, Jr. and Theresa V. Copus Smith.  He had worked as a Butcher and meat cutter for the Civil Service at Fort Benning and in several of the Piggly Wiggly locations.  He enjoyed NASCAR, and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Georgia Bulldogs, and the Atlanta Braves; he also enjoyed playing golf and loved playing with his twin brother, they were always competing with each other and enjoying fellowship with friends and family.  He was Catholic by faith.

He is survived by his mother, Theresa V. Copus Smith, father, Aubrey E. Smith, Jr. and wife Rose, one son, Joshua Ryan McGee, three sisters, Patricia Stancliff and husband Dale, Sharon Weihl and husband Freeman, and Nancy Whittenton and husband James, five brothers, Michael David Smith and wife Cathy, Aubrey E. Smith, III, and wife Phyllis, Joseph L. Smith and wife Tamra, Rodney James Smith, and his twin brother, John Patrick Smith, a host of nieces and nephews and many caring friends. 

A celebration of life memorial service is to be planned by his loving family on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Group Camp, FDR State Park in Pine Mountain, GA.  Online condolences may be shared at www.vancememorialchapel.net
