Timothy “Tim” Scot Delbridge, Sr., 49, of Columbus, GA passed away early Saturday morning in Lee County, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EDT on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Chuck Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in the Crawford Community. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.
Tim was born February 26, 1968 in Hackensack, NJ to Shirley Huguley Bailey and the late Larry Delbridge. He was a long haul truck driver and was formerly employed with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed riding his Harley, the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Tim was a gentle giant; he was a former semi-professional wrestler and semi-professional football player who loved life. Tim was a huge fan of the Auburn Tigers Football Program, he was passionate about the orange and blue colors, and he was a Protestant by faith.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Huguley Bailey and her husband Walter of Columbus, GA, daughter, Tara Delbridge of Columbus, GA, son Timothy Scot Delbridge, Jr. of Haden, ID, sister, Melinda Wynn and her husband Steve of Midland, GA, one grandson, Trent Delbridge, niece, Tayler Wynn, nephew, Triston Wynn, former spouse and friend, Melinda Delbridge, a host of extended family, and many caring friends.
