Tina Marie Noppenberger

Mrs. Tina Marie Buchanan Noppenberger passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 21, 2017 following a brief battle with lung cancer. She was 61 years old. Born January 29, 1956, in Columbus, GA, she was the daughter of Willis Garfield and Audra Flowers Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her elder brother Jerry Buchanan, former spouse Robert Stanley Cook, and former spouse Anthony D. Culpepper.

Though her last days were difficult, she was comforted by time spent with her siblings as well as numerous other dear friends and loved ones. Family and friends were important to her and their expressions of love and concern brought joy to her final days. 

Funeral services will take place Saturday, March 25 at 11:00 am at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, Alabama and burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors prior to the service, beginning at 10:00. 

Survivors include her devoted husband of twenty-nine years Walter J. Noppenberger of Smiths, AL; children: Jason (Michelle) Culpepper of Smiths, AL, Jennifer (Lawrence) Day of Eufaula, AL; grandchildren: Abigail and William Day; sister: Glenda (David) Frey of North Augusta, SC; brothers: Ronnie (Bonnie) Buchanan of Smiths, AL, Donnie Buchanan of Gulf Shores, AL, Mickey Buchanan of Smiths, AL; Niece Tammy (Scott) Adam of Martinez, GA; Nephew Bobby (Brenda) Taylor of Smiths, AL and numerous other nieces, nephews and their children. Serving as pallbearers will be her brothers, Ronnie, Mickey, and Donnie, her nephew Bobby, her nephew Billy Buchanan of Hiram, GA, and her son-in-law Lawrence. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of her beloved Columbus, GA Target family.

Tina was passionate about animal rescue, so the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to Paws Humane, 4900 Milgen Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 in honor of her beloved pets Red and Sissy.
