Tony Bigbie

Tony Edwin Bigbie, 71, of Columbus, GA died at Columbus Hospice House, Columbus, GA on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 with his family by his side.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30AM (EST) on Friday, July 23, 2021 at White Rock Assembly of God, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Ronnie Chaney officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Interment with U. S. Army honors will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00 PM (EST) at the funeral home.
Mr. Bigbie was born October 02, 1949 in Columbus, GA son of the late Edward Taff Bigbie and Ollie Mae Wells Bigbie. He had retired from the U. S. Army after 20 years of dedicated service. Mr. Bigbie was a proud Viet-Nam veteran. He loved to work on cars, especially Volkswagens, and listening to the Eagles music and playing Golf. We will remember him as a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.
Mr. Bigbie was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sylvia Baggett; in-laws, John Gibbons, Jerry Almasy, Gene Payne and Talmage Baggett.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Waters, Columbus, GA; children, Carey Bigbie and Suzanne Bigbie; sisters, Maria Atkins, Marlene Gibbons, Mary Lou Almasy, Rachel Payne; one brother, Eddie Wayne Bigbie; two precious grandchildren, Liam and Layla; several nieces, nephews and friends.
