Tony Daniel Morris

Tony Daniel Morris , 71, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Saturday, July 23, 2016 beginning at 1:00 P.M. EST, with Pastor Kennith Savage  officiating.  The interment will conclude the service at Evergreen Memorial Park, 4500 St. Marys Road, Columbus, GA.    The family will receive friends Friday, July 22, 2016 at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST.  

Mr. Morris was born July 5, 1945 in Columbus, GA to the late James Burton Morris and Stella Mae Cook Morris.  He was a retired truck driver, who worked for Hogan Transport.  He was a loving husband, uncle and friend.  He loved fishing and working with his hands.  He was a very kind and giving man who will be loved and missed. 

Other than his parents, Mr. Morris is predeceased by his brothers:  Larry Wayne Morris, Charles Morris, Jody Morris and Phillip Morris; and his sister, Joanna Driver.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 48 years, Yvonne Letitaa Sasser Morris; one sister, Dorothy Hunter of Houston, TX; two brothers:  Jr. Morris of Melborne, FL, and W.C. Morris of Pontiac, MI; two sisters in law:  Evelyn McMahon of Jonesboro, GA and Marsha Lawrence of Columbus, GA; a niece, Connie Driver and James of Cataula, GA;  and close friends:  Robert and Rebecca Etheredge of Box Springs, GA.
