Tracie Lynn Morris Bankston, 48, of Salem, AL passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family early Friday morning, August 18, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 21, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Grant Parker and Rev. Boyd Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.
Tracie was born January 4, 1969 in Phenix City, AL to Betty “Louise” Touchton Turner and the late William Arnold Morris. She had worked most of her life a professional cosmetologist. She enjoyed her profession, sewing, fishing, visiting the beach, talking on her phone, and tinkering with automobiles. She was a Christian by faith. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Stephanie Godwin, her step-father, Rev. David Turner.
She is survived by her mother, Betty “Louise” Turner, her husband, Mark Eugene Bankston, one daughter, Tori Morris Weber, son, Blade Watson, one sister, Carla Morris Waldrop, and husband Mark, her maternal grandmother, Christine Touchton, and paternal grandmother, Elsie Louise Morris, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and many caring friends.
