Vera Robinson Sanders

Vera Robinson Sanders, 81, of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 3, 2023, in the comfort of her home, while surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. EST on Friday, April 7, 2023, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home located at 3738 U.S. Highway 431 North Phenix City, AL 36867. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. EST prior to the service.
Mrs. Sanders was born in Buena Vista, Georgia, the daughter of the late James Robinson and Marylu Barrett Robinson. Mrs. Sanders was employed as a bookkeeper/office clerk for most of her career at St. Mary’s Road Christian School. She was a faithful member of Cascade Hills Church and she loved her church family. To keep her fitness level up, Vera enjoyed walking. She would walk an hour a day at the mall. One of Mrs. Sanders passions was to decorate for all the holidays. She had a tree which she decorated for each season, but for the Christmas season, she would decorate nine trees. She also enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds. Above all, Vera loved her family, especially the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband Maynard L. Sanders and sisters Doris Carter, Marianne Reese and June Hedden.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters Kim Hale (Clint) of McDonough, GA and Sherri Masterson (Paul) of Columbus, GA; son Keith Sanders (Lisha) of Rochelle, GA; sisters Lera Dent, Chris Johnson, Wanda Davenport and Lynda Dukes; brothers Jerry Robinson and Jimmy Robinson; grandchildren Lindsay Pendley (Aubrey), Alyssa Hale, Katelin Hammock (Austin), Josh Masterson (Shea), Olivia Hudgins (Parker), Kaleb Sanders (Tiffany), Logan Johnson (Chris), Blake Cureton (Ashlee), Dylan Cureton and Brian Sanders; nine greatgrandchildren and numerous loving church members, extended family and caring friends.
