Vickie “Diane” Johnson, 60, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Saturday morning at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
Funeral services will held at 3:00 pm EST Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Emory Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.
Diane was born January 1, 1956 in Phenix City, AL to the late Douglas Davis and Mary Magdalene Vines Davis. She had worked with Bemco Bedding and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Diane was the first born in the New Year of 1956 to the Phenix City community. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, building bonfires, loved her pet dogs and other animals, and was a big Alabama Crimson Tide fan. She was Pentecostal by her faith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James “Jimmy” Davis.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Brian Lee Johnson, one daughter, Tracie Ann Myrick (Tommy), one son, Charles “Chuck” Myrick (Brandi), a sister, Mary Joann Brunson (Terry), and a brother, David O’Neal Davis (Juanita), several grandchildren, Mackenzie Myrick, Thomas “Little Man” Sherman, Bella Myrick, other special children in her life, Jeremiah, Maranda, Zac, and Zoey; several nieces and nephews.
