Virgil Cecil Hall

Virgil Cecil Hall, 82, of Smiths Station, AL passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2016 in the comfort of his home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EDT Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Gerald Corbin officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.

Mr. Hall was born October 12, 1933 in Geneva County, AL to the late William “Bill” A. Hall and Pearlie Mae Haddan Hall.  He was retired from the Bibb Mill with over 39 years of service and was a Pentecostal by faith.  He enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, raising chickens, and spending quality time with his family.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary Jean Ward Hall, an infant son, Ricky LaFoyd Hall, a son-in-law, Rodney Densel, one sister, and three brothers.

He is survived by a daughter, Wanda Densel of Smiths Station, AL, son, Ronnie Earl Hall, Sr. and wife Beverly of Seale, AL, three sisters, Katherine Strickland and husband Jerry of Malvern, AL, Helen Girouard of Dothan, AL, and Chery McCall of Newton, AL, three brothers, Billy Earl Hall and wife Nancy of Harris County, GA, Joe Hall and wife Marty of Columbus, GA, and Jerry Hall and wife Sheila of Newton, AL, (9) grandchildren, (11) great grandchildren, and host of nieces and nephews.
