Virginia "Ginnie" Crouch Parris

January 23, 1926 — March 25, 2017

Mrs. Virginia “Ginnie” Davis Crouch Parris, 91, of Seale, Alabama went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia.

A Memorial Service of Mrs. Parris will be held at 2:00 PM EST on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL with The Reverend Ralph Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Monday evening at the Funeral home.

Mrs. Parris was born in Columbus, GA to the late Horace G. Davis and wife Eva Ruth Roberts. She was married to her first husband George Wadsworth Crouch, Jr for 57 years prior to his death. Mrs. Parris loved life, especially spending time at the beach and boating with her late husband George. For several years, Mrs. Parris was the Head Dietician at Chavala High School in Russell County and also worked as the District Clerk for the Russell County Soil and Water Conservation District. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and social events but above all she enjoyed her family and friends who all knew her as “Granee.”

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parris was preceded in death by one sister Emilie Slade; one brother Horace Davis, Jr.; and her second husband James R. Parris.

Mrs. Parris is survived by two daughters Lisa Crouch Faulkner Moore, and Judy Crouch Marshall and husband Rick; two sons Michael Wesley Crouch and his wife Gayle and John Franklin Crouch and wife Dianne Henry; two sisters Eva Breedlove and Mary Anna Campbell; Grandchildren Greg Faulkner (Misako), Ben Crouch (Cindy), Chris Cowart (Samantha), Alyssa Crouch Johnson (Matthew), Olivia Crouch, Melanie Cowart; Great Grandchildren Jessica Faulkner, Brady Crouch, Makayla Sites, Tabitha Cowart, Matthew Johnson, Jr. and Wesley Johnson; many nieces and nephews, caring friends and loving family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to a charity of your choosing in honor of Mrs. Ginnie.
