Wanda Darlene Scott

Wanda Darlene Barron Scott, 61, of Crawford, AL passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 in the comfort of her home in Crawford while surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm EST Monday, December 11, 2017 at Solid Rock Assembly of God Church in Columbus with Pastor Jay Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm EST at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Wanda was born January 7, 1956 in Phenix City, AL. Her parents were J. Dan Barron and the late Shirley Marie Pope Scott.  She had worked as a professional office manager with two medical practices in Columbus, GA with more than 33 years of service. She enjoyed shopping, working in the yard and interior designing; she was blessed with a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing Gospel music.  She loved visiting the beach and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Solid Rock Assembly of God in Columbus, GA.

She is survived by her father, J. Dan Barron of Phenix City, AL, her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, Cecil R. “Scotty” Scott, Jr. of Crawford, AL, two sons, Ryan Scott and wife Ashley of Phenix City, AL, and Michael Scott of Cookeville, TN, one sister, Angie Harbert and husband Scotty of Phenix City, AL, two brothers, Dwayne Barron and Glen Barron, both of Naples, FL, (6) grandchildren, Carson, London, Cody, Ericia, Riley, and Zaylen, father-in-law, Cecil R. Scott, Sr., mother-in-law, Lillie Brooks, sisters-in-law, Vicki Brittain and husband Bryant, and Teresa Borg, a host of extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
