Whyoma L. Fuqua

Whyoma L. Fuqua, 81, of Seale, AL passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow later at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Fuqua was born December 1, 1936 to Matthew LaFollette and Ella Mae Underwood LaFollette. She retired from Aflac after 17 years of service and was extremely active as a volunteer with the Ft. Mitchell Community Club. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by brother James Matthew LaFollette and a sister Evelyn Mae Richardson.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James W. Fuqua; children, Debora Morgan(David), Tonia Hopkins(William Marks), Phil Fuqua(Samantha), James Fuqua(Cathy), Debbie Benefield(David), Teresa Sebastian(Don) and Pam Siddall(Greg); siblings, Christine Offutt(James), Edna L. LaFollette, Doris J. Foote, Eddie Ashbaugh(Donna) and Shirley A. Johnson; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a very large and loving extended family and many caring friends.
