William "Bill" Arthur Ashcraft Sr.

William "Bill" Arthur Ashcraft, 85 years old, passed away January 7, 2016. Mr. Ashcraft was a resident of Smiths Station, AL and was residing at Lakewood Senior Living when he passed.

Mr. Ashcraft was born January 12, 1930 in Wetumpka, AL. His parents were Arthur and Birdie May Ashcraft. He had 3 siblings, Delma Kinney, Eunice Wasden, and JD Ashcraft, all who are now deceased. On October 16, 1954, Mr. Ashcraft married Charlotte Thompson Ashcraft. Mr. and Mrs. Ashcraft were married 52 years.

Mr. Ashcraft has 3 children: Debbie Ashcraft Mitchell (Rodney Mitchell) of Phenix City, AL, Billy Ashcraft (Mary Ashcraft) of Salem, AL, and Tammy Ashcraft Glover (Larry Glover) of Ft. Mitchell, AL. Mr. Ashcraft had 3 grandchildren, Shane Blankenship (Kim Blankenship) of Salem, AL, Ashley Ford of Smiths Station,
AL, and Katie Mitchell of Pelham, AL. He also had 2 great-grandchildren, Cane and Lincoln Blankenship.

The service will be held on January 9, 2016 at 4:00pm EST at Concord Baptist Church. The family will begin greeting guests at 3:00pm EST. If you would like to make a monetary donation in Mr. Ashcraft's honor you can donate to the Auburn Heights Youth Building. Mr. Ashcraft was dearly loved by all who knew him, and will be greatly missed. Vance Memorial Chapel will be handling arrangements and online condolences can be made at www.vancememorialchapel.net.
