William "Bill" Carl Harrison

William Carl Harrison, “Bill”,  73, of Columbus, GA passed away May 12, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus,GA on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 beginning at 3:00 P.M. EST with Pastor Barry Danner officiating.  The interment will conclude the service at Parkhill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday, May 16, 2016 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. EST until 8:00 P.M. EST.    Pall Bearers for the service will be Fred Patterson, Ken Tipton, Cottrell Flonnory, Mark Youndt, Allen McDaniel and Emmitt Garrett.

"Bill" was born September 30, 1942 in Phenix City, AL to the parents of the late William Right Harrison and Lottie Harrison.  He was a member of First Assembly of God in Phenix City, AL. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy, as well as the United States Naval Reserve.  He worked with Colonial Baking Company where he was a route salesman for 23 years and later he also retired from The Kellogg Company after 17 ½ years as a forklift operator.  He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars on Victory Drive in Columbus.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-five years, Judith (Judy) Harrison; one daughter, Tracy Pate Tipton (Ken) of Tarpon Springs, FL; one son, Gregory Harrison of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Elizabeth Robison of Columbus, GA; five grandchildren:  Brandon Pate (Danielle) of Greencastle, PA, Danielle McDaniel (Allen) of Phenix City, AL, Blake Patterson of Tarpon Springs, FL, Keleigh Harrison and Cameron Harrison both of Columbus, GA; one great grandchild, Theo Plummer; two nieces; and beloved family friends, Kathy Harrison and Mary Jane Cruz, both of Columbus, GA.
