William David Floyd

William David Floyd, 55, of Phenix City, Al died at his residence on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
A service of Remembrance will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, Al.
Mr. Floyd was born August 08, 1965 in Atlanta, GA son of the late Marvin David Floyd and Mary Sue Floyd (Miller). He worked in Construction most of his life and in Security for a time. Mr. Floyd was also a gifted mechanic, often helping family members diagnose car issues over the phone. We will remember him as “stubborn” at times, but full of sound wisdom. His motto was “Don’t worry, Be happy”. While it will be difficult to live out this motto with him not in our lives, we will do our best to honor him and “be happy”.
Survivors include his children, Jodie Floyd Carrell (Joshua), Ethen Floyd, Abigail Floyd, Joseph David Floyd, Alan Floyd, Franklin Mills; siblings, Diane Floyd and David Miller (Linda); grandchildren, Jaxon Lee Carrell, Jake Leon Carrell, Xavier Floyd, Nolan Floyd; niece and nephew, Amy Floyd, Luc Sports and Toni Sports; friend of the family, Susan Mills, Jamey Sports; several other family members and friends survive.
