William “Garrett” Andrew Dutton, age 20 of Phenix City, AL passed away early Monday morning on January 15, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital Midtown in Columbus, GA.
Garrett was born October 22, 2003, in Opelika, AL to Eric Gregory Dutton and the late Amy Suzanne Gullatte. He was employed with Davis Well Company in Phenix City. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, welding, fishing, and the outdoors. But his greatest fulfillment was the love for his family and his pride as a young father to his son Waylon and soon to be husband to the love of his life, his companion and best friend, Bethany. He was a Christian by faith.
He is survived by his fiancé, Bethany Nicole Mosley; their infant son, Waylon Andrew Dutton; father, Eric Gregory Dutton; paternal grandmother, Naomi Crowe and her husband Jim, Bethany's grandparents, Dorothy and Willaim "Bill" Mobley, sister, Destini Carr and fiancé, Tyler Dunn and their child, Heavenly; three brothers, Ryan Dutton, Blake Thaxton and Wyatt Dutton and his son Jax; loved as a mother and future mother-in-law, Carrie VanBogart; future brother-in-law, Vincent Ellis; future sister-in-law, Helena Mosley; numerous other extended loving family members, and many caring friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm EST on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at The Way Church in Smiths Station with Brother Gary Brown officiating. A special place of rest will take place privately by his loving family according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City.
