William Floyd Smith

William Floyd Smith, 81, of Phenix City, AL died at his residence Monday, October 14, 2019 surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Dr. Don Wilhite officiating. A committal service will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born August 06, 1938 in Henry County, AL son of the late Jessie Edwards Smith and Lucy Smith. He was a hardworking man who loved his family deeply. Mr. Smith was a Fixer at Swift Textiles retiring after over 50 years of dedicated service. His wisdom, memories and love will continue to impact us and future generations. We will always cherish him in our hearts. 

Mr. Smith was also preceded in death by two sons, James Floyd Smith and John Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Sara Dean Renfroe Smith, Phenix City, AL;     a son, Terry Smith, Phenix City, AL; two sisters, Patricia Temples and Ruby Jenkins; two grandsons, Richard Smith (Whitney) and John Smith (Brandy) all of Phenix City, AL; three great-grandchildren, John, Arianna and Brianna Smith; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
