William G. Вђњbubbaвђќ Sharpe

William G. “Bubba” Sharpe, 77, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 quietly at home.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Pastor Barry Danner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.

“Bubba” was born September 23, 1939 in Columbus, GA to the late Grover Sharpe and Catherine Webster Sharpe. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He[i]served on the Phenix City police force for several years earning several commendations and sharp shooter awards. Bubba sold cars for over 35 years, coached the boys baseball teams and enjoyed golf.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Jane Sharpe; sons, William Paul “Billy” Sharpe and wife Charlotte of Phenix City, James Michael “Mike” Sharpe of Phenix City, Jeffrey Wayne “Jeff” Sharpe and wife Amy of Harris County, GA, David M. Sharpe of Phenix City and Jessica and Russell Sharpe; brother, Gene Sharpe of Phenix City; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Paige, Amanda, Summer, Skye and Tyson; extended family and many dear friends.
