Mr. William Henry Turner, Sr. 73, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Funeral services for Mr. Turner will be held at 11:00am EST on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Faith Temple Assembly of God located at #4 Meadowood Drive Phenix City, AL with the Pastor Emory Evans officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening July 5, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City.
Mr. Turner was born in Pike County, AL to the late Milton Turner and Lessie Mae Hancock Turner. Mr. Turner served his country with honor during the Viet Nam War by serving two tours in the United States Army. After his military career, Mr. Turner worked in the drywall industry until he retired. In addition to his parents, Mr. Turner was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Turner is survived by his wife of 44 years Allie Jean Turner; one daughter Eugenia “Wendy” Lewis of Phenix City, AL; two sons William Edward Turner and wife Christi and William Henry “Billy” Turner, Jr. and wife Reba all of Phenix City, AL; twelve grandchildren Christina Turner, Jessica McVay, William Dalton Turner, Codi Bryant, Jonathan Keller, Jason Keller, Colton Bryant, Emily Dawn Turner, Alexandra Keller, Deanna Turner, William “Trey” Turner and Tiffany Amber “Skye” Turner; 7 great-grandchildren; one surviving sister, Ms. Jewel Jackson; countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to say “Thank You” to the nurses and staff of Alacare Hospice for their devotion and dedication shown to Mr. Turner during his time of need.
